Buy Prints

I am now selling limited edition prints of some of my favourite underwater photographs. They are printed on archival quality, giclée or C Type paper (to the layperson, that means the quality is very high!).

One of the aims of my photography is to expand people's awareness of the beauty held in our seas. I hope that this will spur more of us to protect the blue in our world. With this in mind, 20% of the profit from each print will be donated to Mission Blue, an initiative of the Sylvia Earle Alliance which is seeking to protect 30% of the oceans by 2030. So you get to treat yourself to a print and do some good for the planet at the same time!

I am offering each print in a smaller and larger size, the exact formats vary for each image. The print run will be limited to 50 pieces for the smaller and 25 pieces for the larger. You will receive a certificate of authenticity with each print, complete with the edition number and my signature.

The prints come un-framed, saving you a bucket-load in delivery charges and giving you the freedom to customise framing. The size listed refers to the total print size which includes a white border to make framing and mounting as easy as possible. The smaller prints come with a 1'' white border and the larger have a 1.5'' white border. If you would like tips on how to frame the photos, just drop me a line.

20% of all profits will be donated to Mission Blue.

Print time is 48 hours. Delivery time will vary and international orders are both accepted and welcomed.  To get an idea of international delivery cost and timings please have a look here. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with the print, there is a 14 day returns policy.

'The Safest Place' - One of my beloved Yellowhead Jawfish, mouth brooding some very mature eggs! It's extremely rare to get this close to one of these jawfish, as they usually disappear into their burrows at the first sign of danger. This image was awarded in both the Ocean Art contest and the Sony World Photography Awards.

Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 15'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 30'' x 20'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on Giclee Epson Semi-Gloss paper.

'Brain Coral Planet' - It may be a simple subject, but this just might be my favourite photo to date! Using an inward-lighting technique learnt from the great Alex Mustard, I was able to isolate this perfectly circular Brain Coral and enhance the texture of its grooves. The resulting maze is simply mesmerising! This photo was commended in the Sony World Photography Awards.

Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 15'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 30'' x 20'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss Paper.

'Turtle & Passengers' - I encountered this imposing Green Turtle in Egypt. Having clocked it taking a breath at the surface, I positioned myself to cross paths on its descent and this is the resulting image. I like the determination etched on the turtle's face mixed with the playfulness of the attached Remora. This is an example of a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship with the Remora cleaning the Turtle of parasites in return for a free ride and meals (made up of parasites and turtle faeces!).

Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 15'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 30'' x 20'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on C-Type Fuji Flex paper.

'White Tip' - Oceanic White Tips suffer from a bad reputation, they were supposedly responsible for the death of hundreds of sailors upon the sinking of the USS Indianapolis and even Jacques Cousteau described them as the most dangerous shark species. It's a good story and one which has fuelled many a sensational headline. The truth is these sharks are both deeply misunderstood and on the point of extinction thanks to human actions. Their large fins make them the perfect catch for the shark fin soup trade and their natural curiosity means they are often accidentally caught in industrial fishing lines (look closely and you can see the fishing hook in this one's mouth - a lucky escape). The simple fact is sharks killed 6 people in 2015. Meanwhile, we killed approximately 100 million sharks.

Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 20'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 30'' x 15'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss paper.

'Turtle at Peace' - Tubbataha Marine Park in the Philippines is guarded by a year-round team of rangers and all fishing is prohibited. In just a couple of decades, the reef has rejuvenated and is now amongst the healthiest marine ecosystems on the planet. This is the sea as it should be. This image of a Green Turtle resting on a thriving coral reef perfectly encapsulates this pristine marine environment.

Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 20'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 30'' x 15'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on C-Type Fuji Flex paper.

'Saluting The Kittiwake' - The USS Kittiwake had an exciting life before it was decommissioned. This former submarine rescue vessel is most famous for retrieving the black box from the tragic Challenger space ship explosion. In its retirement it serves as one of the most popular dive sites off the coast of Grand Cayman. In this shot I asked my buddy to perform a salute from the sand and I think what really makes the photo is the snapper on the bow of the ship, making eye-contact with the viewer and posing perfectly for the camera!

Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 15'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 30'' x 20'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss Paper.

'Goby Couple' - It was in Bali that I first saw Pygmy Yellow Gobies. These tiny, bright yellow fish, are real home-bodies. They will find a place to live and basically never leave! From their little underwater nest they will feed, flirt, sleep and mate! Often found in discarded bottles, I was particularly pleased to find that these two had gone 'organic' and were using a small cone shell as their base. I ended up getting a little obsessed and spending about 2 hours underwater photographing this couple. To the front is the male, with the pregnant female looking on from behind. Available as a limited edition of 50 prints at 10'' x 10'' (plus 1'' white border) and 25 prints at 20'' x 20'' (plus 1.5'' white border). Printed on Giclée Epson Semi-Gloss paper.
